While I’m not in the market for a name (unless we adopt a new pet!), it’s always fun to take a look at the latest top names list. This top baby names list is the Top 10 Searched Baby Names from Parenting.com.

I’ll be honest, I’ve never heard of the name Eithne before! I can’t say I’m a huge fan of any of the names mentioned, except perhaps Andy. While my daughter’s name isn’t completely uncommon (Violet), it’s also not Top 10 material. When I named her, I didn’t want her to be one of 10 girls in her class with that name.
We named my daughter after both of her maternal great-grandmothers: Violet Emilee. Emilee was my grandmother’s middle name (her first name was Esther). If she were a boy, her name would have been Brady Ryan.

Neither of the names jake and i have picked out are on the list. We either like ruby for a girl or lucas for a boy
I like both of them!

My girls names are not in either top 10 list. Both girls names are in the 1000 most popular boys names. My name is Kelly and I chose an androgynous name for both girls and a feminine middle name.

I’m bummed to see Ella up there since if we ever have a girl that’s the name we’ve picked. Our son is named Nicholas. It always seems to be a name that is around, but not crazy popular. My mother swears that when she named me no one was named Elizabeth, but it seemed a lot of people thought the same way that year because it became very popular.
