What do you use your phone for?

I just won “Wife of the Year” honors when I gave my husband an iPhone 4s for Father’s Day. I almost had to sell a kidney to make it happen, but I did it. Now he understands why I refer to my own iPhone as “my left hand”.

I use it for everything. Not just phone and text, but for both work and personal e-mail, social media, organization, planning and games.

There’s nothing, short of doing my laundry, that my phone can’t do for me. I set up reminders to pay bills, check lists to use for cleaning and organizing the house, and budget sheets for bills and groceries. I check the weather every day with Accuweather, and can find any song my daughter wants within seconds on Spotify. If any of the TV shows I’ve downloaded for her aren’t doing the trick, we can stream Netflix shows through it, too.

I’m addicted to Words with Friends and Hangin’ with Friends and have racked up some great scores on both of those games. When I tire of those, I play Angry Birds or Plants vs Zombies. I read the local news, and get my news from back home in Minnesota in seconds, and monitor my bank account balance and can transfer money to savings with a few clicks.

But what is one of my favorite things to do with my phone? To pay for Starbucks with the touch of a button with the Starbucks app, of course.
