We are big fans of Veggie Tales in our house. We even have a Veggie Tales iPhone app. It’s no surprise, then, that the latest Veggie Tales movie The Penniless Princess – God’s Little Girl has been a hit as well.
In this Veggie-version of the children’s book A Little Princess, by Frances Hodgson Burnett, Larry the Cucumber stars as Captain Crew and helps to teach an important lesson about knowing your own true worth to his young daughter, Sarah, even if only through his spirit.
Sweet Sarah has everything a little girl could want. But when life takes a turn and she goes from riches to rags, will she realize that her true worth lies not in what she has, but what she has in her heart?
This latest Veggie Tales DVD teaches a very important lesson, and it was perfect for my daughter. In today’s society of “want, want, want”, it’s important for children to learn that material possessions are far from everything they need to be happy and successful in life. Whether or not you are a Christian, this film holds a very important message for all young children to learn and carry with them through life.
This is a Class A posting. Please refer to my disclosure policy for more information.

I need to have my daughter watch this. Sadly, she’s in the want, want, want stage right now and needs to be happy with what she has and a family that loves her.

Cute. My kids (nor I) could never really get into them.
