Stay safe with the 3M headlight restoration kit from Pep Boys

This post brought to you by Pep Boys. All opinions are 100% mine.

I drive for a living. I average about 500 miles a week on my car doing home health visits, and my new job is primarily rural based. Besides keeping some odd hours (sometimes early morning, and sometimes evening after the sun sets), I definitely encountery plenty of weather-related driving difficulties in the winter here in Colorado. Aside from all of this, it’s very important for me to keep an eye out for kids and even animals when I’m driving in residential and school areas.

Because of all of this, it’s super important that my headlights are working properly and working clearly at all times. Pep Boys stores now have the 3M Headlight Restoration Kit that is not only easy to use (no tools required!) but also works well on just about all plastic lenses including head lights, tail lights, motorcycles, trailers and snowmobiles.

What exactly is headlight restoration? It’s the restoring of lenses from dull, yellowed or hazy conditions that dim the amount of light the headlight is able to put out. When there is less daylight, it’s likely that you will be driving more in darker conditions. With Halloween rapidly approaching, don’t you want to be able to see any potential ghosts or goblins that might run out in front of your car?

Because there are no tools involved, it cuts down on the risk of cracking or breaking the light lenses. And, because it requires so little elbow grease, it’s easy for even the least mechanically inclined person to use. Wonder if it makes a difference? Check out these before and after photos:

This is something that all of us drivers can use to make sure our headlights are as effective as possible now that it is getting dark earlier and weather can impair our abilities to see as well as we drive. Head on out to your nearest Pep Boys to pick up your own kit and take advantage of this mail in rebate.

This is a great idea, my old car had horrible headlights, I hated to even drive after dark. It never occurred to me I could fix them!
