Kritter Kondo | Review and Giveaway CLOSED

It’s no secret I love my cats. And it’s no secret that I’ve been vocal in the past about keeping your cats indoors because of the dangers that exist for outdoor cats. But, cats are curious and they want to be outdoors if given the chance. In the past, we lived in places where they could go outdoors without a chance for them to get out of our fenced courtyard when we lived in a townhome. Now we live in a single family home, and while our back yard is fenced, if a cat is sneaky enough, he will find his way through or over that fence.

That is why I was so excited to try out Kritter Kondo. The owner, Lisa, lived someplace where it wasn’t safe for her cats to be outdoors, so she came up with the concept of a safe outdoor pet enclosure. From that, Kritter Kommunity was born.

The Kritter Kommunity arrived in this nice carrying case – perfect for travel if you have a small dog that travels with you.

Inside, the Kondo fit compactly with assembly instructions.

The Kritter Kondo assembles quickly and easily, and the corners are secured with pins that remove easily when it’s time to break it down.

If you’re not careful, you might find that your child enjoys the Kondo almost as much as your pets do. (although it is not recommended you allow your children to play in it – she was supervised the whole time she was in there)

I did not attach the canopy that came with the deluxe Kritter Kondo, but had I it would have looked like this:

The Kondo is incredibly easy to assemble, and I did so within 3 or 4 minutes. My cats seem to enjoy their time in it, however I have to keep an eye on my daughter because she loves to open the doors to let them out, and let herself in! If you have small children, this could be an issue for you as well.

Here are the specifics of the Kritter Kondo Deluxe:

I received a Kritter Kondo for the purpose of this review. The opinions in this review are mine alone.

  1. Laura Henderson says:

I have an indoor cat, Monty, who’d like to be an outdoor cat if his “Mommy” would let him. But I don’t have a fenced-in yard and live in the suburbs so those few times Monty has been let out I’m a nervous wreck. The Kritter Kondo would alleviate that stress! I’m a GFC follower and “liked” you on FB.

  2. Jessica says:

We have two kitties who love to sunbathe in the windows. I’m sure they would absolutely love it if I put this on our balcony and they got to spend some time outside.

  3. Kimberly says:

This would be great for my indoor cat and my chihuahua since they like to be outside, but we can’t let them run around loose.

  4. Sharon says:

We have a 2-year-old blind rescue cat who needs a little more exercise–her vision issues are making it difficult to keep her active indoors. We do take her out on a harness and leash but I think she would really enjoy being outside withing being “tied up”. I work outside gardening and doing other yard work and would love to be able to have her with me for company!

  5. Kim says:

My two cats, Coco and Chanel, would love that! They always look longingly out the patio door, but it’s just not safe for them to go out. I also have two turtles that would enjoy being outdoors for a while!

We could benefit from the kitty kondo as we wanted to get more kittens that a friend of my sons has that are about 3 1/2 months old & would like to get them used to us and their new home inside this kondo, I hope they’d enjoy it. Kitties!

  7. Aisling says:

My granddaughter recently got a small rescue dog. She takes him for walks daily, but he loves to be outside and they don’t have a fenced yard. This would let her sit outside (reading, working or socializing on her laptop) while “E” gets to enjoy the fresh air safely as well.

  8. Kathy says:

We have two boy cats,Smudge and Whiskers and we also live full time in a fifth wheel rv, so having the kitty kondo would allow them to be able to go outside safely.

  9. cathy miller says:

My husband and I have 2 dogs and 1 cat. We spend quite a lot of time outside but our cat arthur has to stay in and he cries and cries, this Kritter Kondo would be absolutely perfect for arthur, I’ve tried harness and leash and he refuses to entertain the thought of walking with it.

  10. mickeyfan says:

Our cats LOVE to stare out the window at all the goings on. They are strictly indoor, so this would allow them to get into the nature they love to watch.

  11. Eryn says:

I would use this when we dog sit my father in law’s dogs. They’re older shih-tzus, at least 14 now, and we have a 2 year old very energetic cocker spaniel. When we sit for them, they need some space of their own where our pup isn’t trying to bounce all over them. We also have 3 kitties, but they can hold their own against the dog 😉

  12. Sarah says:

I would love this for my three cats. I was just talking to a friend this past weekend about building something where the cats could get outside but still be protected. I also have a dog who weighs about 10 lbs who might be able to use this, too. Thanks for the chance to win this great product!

  13. sarah says:

I have two cats who like to “hide” in everything – boxes, bags, under the covers. I would love for them to have their own space to play.

  14. Diane Baum says:

i have 3 cats and a dog and I would benefit by having this by letting by 3 indoor babies spend sometime outside!!!!!!

  15. Geri Nyland says:

We have kittens that are 2 months old that we would love to bring outside more often, but the fear of them running into the road and getting run over scares me…This would be perfect for them.

  16. Kim Benton says:

I have 2 Bengals Simon & Sadie who sit in the picture window & would love to go outside, I’ve been praying for something like this for them.

  17. Lucy Schwartz says:

We have a new patio with patio furniture. And when we are outside our dear kitty howls in the house. We have opened the back door but fraidy cat sticks his nose out and scats if anything moves . Curious but … i think this outdoor condo would make Nickolas a little braver and he could join the fun.

  18. Jill Myrick says:

This would be wonderful to have for my two adult cats and two kittens. It would be nice for them to be able to go and me not have to worry about them.

  19. Michelle Tucker says:

We own two kitties. Our cats used to like to go outside, but ever since we moved, they can’t, due to dogs in the area. It’d be nice for them to have a place to play, even though they won’t be able to stay outside unattended.

  20. Veronica Garrett says:

We would benefit from it because our two Shih Tzus like to go outside but it isn’t safe with traffic and big dogs. We have to keep them on leases when we go outside but this isn’t convenient when we are working in the yard.

  21. katklaw777 says:

We have three kitties…Riki Tiki, Sassy Lassy, and Annie Banannie.
They can go in the yard if I put on a leash and harness and go out with them. It’s hard to take them all out together.
This neat product would be soooooooooooooo cool and they could all go out together and watch the bird feeder without scaring them away,
The Kritter Kondo would be heavenly to have. thanks

  22. Sand says:

I have a cat and a dog. This would be for the cat who wants to be outdoors but we’re afraid he’d run away and never return!
