Who knew I liked granola? I certainly didn’t. In fact I seem to like it so much I keep having to step away from my computer to snack on some Bear Naked Trail Mix. Chocolate Cherry trail mix, at that. I am doing my best to improve my eating. It’s not easy, but when you can find granola products that not only taste good, but are all natural, it helps.
I received a few different Bear Naked products to try. First the Chocolate Cherry Trail Mix. They need to call it Chocolate Cherry Crack. A serving size is 1/4 cup (3 Weight Watchers Points Plus) and I REALLY had to work hard to keep to one serving at a time. A 4.5 oz bag retails for $2.99. Besides the fact that it’s chocolate, it’s all natural. Here’s what you WON’T find in Bear Naked products:
Then there’s the Triple Berry Crunch. I’ve been eating this for breakfast with milk. One serving (minus milk) is 1/4 c and 3 Weight Watchers Points Plus. I’ve been doing 1/2 cup with 1/4 cup milk for breakfast which is 7 points. The 3 berries are strawberries, blueberries and raspberries – so some good antioxidants are included! A 12oz bag is $4.84.

Finally, I received Bear Naked Fruit and Nut, which I have been eating more as a trail mix or mixing in with yogurt. Eaten by itself, one serving is 4 Weight Watchers Points Plus. A 12oz bag retails for $4.84. Want a really delicious way to eat it? Here’s a great recipe for a Bear Naked Apple Pie Parfait:
1 cup diced apples
4 tbs fresh lemon juice
4 tbs maple syrup
1 tbs ground cinnamon
1 ¼ cup of your favorite Bear Naked granola
2 ½ cups of your favorite yogurt
In a bowl, combine diced apples, lemon juice, maple syrup and cinnamon.
To assemble the parfait, place 2 tbs of granola at the bottom of four 12oz cups. Add a layer of ¼ cup yogurt and 2 tbs of apple mixture to each cup. Repeat layers a second time and top each cup with 2 tbs of yogurt and 1 tbs of granola for garnish.
Mix in your favorite fruits.
Yields 4 servings

What I love best about Bear Naked is that it’s all natural AND it’s a great source of energy. The company is socially responsible, not just providing the consumer with a healthy product free of unhealthy additives or preservatives, they also work with various charities donating proceeds. They also accept empty used Bear Naked bags in exchange for points to be used towards products. The used bags are then made into other products such as shower curtains and reusable bags.
Bear Naked products can be found at many retail locations nationwide, including Walmart, Target, Meijer and on Amazon.com.
This is a Class A review. Please refer to my disclosure policy for further information.
